APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole
Governor Simon Lalong on Friday in Jos flag off his re-election campaign with the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, calling for the probe of former President Olusegun Obasanjo and his Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar over the $16 billion allegedly spent on power generation without any corresponding proof.
Oshiomhole, who was the Guest of Honour of the flag-off at Jos Township Stadium, said People’s Democratic Party (PDP) 16-year reign was a waste, adding that Nigerians became poorer under the Obasanjo and Jonathan regimes as a result of their failure to put the interests of Nigerians first before any other considerations.
He accused PDP Presidential Candidate Atiku Abubakar of heading the privatization of federal government assets under President Obasanjo eight years in power during which thousands of workers lost their jobs while few top government officials took away federal owned companies at a give-away price.
The APC National Chairman said while President Buhari can travel to any country of the world, Atiku Abubakar could only afford to travel to Dubai because of fear of being quizzed by foreign security agencies.
He urged the Plateau people to come out en masse next month February and the month of March to vote for President Buhari and Governor Lalong to be re-elected as President and Governor respectively at the federal and state levels of government.
