The daughter of Dutsinma Local government Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Katsina state has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen last night, Daily Trust reports.

Zainab Hussaini was picked at her father’s country home in Maitsani village along Dutsinma – Tsaskiya road at about midnight.

Our reporter gathered that, the gunmen stormed his residence purportedly to kidnap the chairman, Hussaini Maitsani whom they could not meet but decided to take away his daughter according to sources.

Other sources say it wasn’t his biological daughter but that of his younger brother until now no demand had been made by her captives but a search and rescue had commenced by local vigilante groups.

When contacted the spokesman of the state police command SP Gambo Isah promised to make enquires and called back but couldn’t be heard till press time.
