PDP to APGA: Stop pointing fingers; you’re responsible for your woes

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called on the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to avoid throwing tantrums at others for being irresponsible for a crisis that is self-inflicted.

Addressing journalists on Wednesday in Awka, the Publicity Secretary of PDP in Anambra State, Mr. Nnamdi Nwangwu, said asked the parry to look inward in solving the crisis that has bedevilled the State House of Assembly crisis and quit the blame game.

Recall that the House of Assembly which is dominated by APGA on 13th was embroiled in a failed impeachment by a faction of lawmakers led by Hon Ikem Uzoezie.

The crisis that ensued on the day the Uzoezie faction tried to use the complex for a plenary led to the seal up of the Assembly complex.

APGA had subsequently accused PDP of fueling the crisis saying, that their target is to impeach the state governor, Willie Obiano by making the state ungovernable.

Nwangwu described APGA’s allegation as ridiculous and unfounded, adding that the party was suffering from internal bleeding, resulting from its “skewed primaries”.

“APGA is now pointing accusing fingers at PDP for its internal problems when it is common knowledge that the failure of APGA to conduct credible primaries is responsible for where the party finds itself today.

“The PDP has nothing to benefit by being part of the alleged plot to impeach the Anambra State governor, Chief Willie Obiano.”

Nwangwu maintained that the unfounded allegation against the PDP was meant to distract the party as the 2019 State and National Assembly elections draw closer.

While insisting that the PDP had demonstrated that it was the custodian of democracy in Nigeria as shown by the degree of credibility that accompanied its primaries across the country, he urged people to disregard the antics by APGA to tarnish the image of PDP.

Nwangwu stressed that none of the antics of APGA would distract PDP as the party moves towards victory during the 2019 polls.
