Impeached Anambra Speaker, Hon Rita Maduagwu
The Spaeker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Rita Maduagwu, has been impeached by the majority members of the state assembly.
News Express gathered that the Speaker who is representing North was impeached for alleged gross misconduct, misappropriation and docility.
Out of the thirty members of the state Assembly, twenty two voted for her impeachment following a motion moved by Jon Ikem Uzoezie and seconded by Hon Onyebuchi Offor.
Meanwhile, Uzoezie representing Aguata 2 constituency was announced the new Speaker of the House.
The Speaker in her reaction said nobody can impeach her even as she called on Uzoezie and others to provide proof of impeachment.
