Governor el-Rufai
Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has recalled that Obi supported his arrest by the Department of State Services, DSS in 2014 on the ground that “El-Rufai has no business being in Anambra State as it is not Katsina State.”
El-Rufai described Peter Obi, the running mate of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, as a tribal bigot.
He stated that voting Atiku and Obi into power will bring about division in the country.
El-Rufai in a tweet said, “Peter Obi is a tribal bigot. He was widely quoted on national television that the SSS was right to detain me for 48 hours in an hotel in 2014 on the grounds that ”El-Rufai has no business being in Anambra State as it is not Katsina State!”
Meanwhile El-Rufai’s post has generated mixed reactions from Nigerians.
In a Tweet by @TWEETORACLE, “El Rufai calling Peter Obi a Tribal Bigot is simply INSIPID.
“He is on a smear campaign in a failed attempt to rubbish the stellar political career of Obi,he can't even compare to Peter's Grandiose achievements.
“We all know El Rufai is a washed out & Irrelevant politrick-ian”
In another tweet, @henryshield said: “Did Elrufai actually write this or they hacked his account? Is this guy this stupid? Peter Obi a bigot? What kind of anger will make a Governor post this about another Leader?
“Wasn't this the same boy who has been arresting and detaining people anyhow in Kaduna?”
@KayMeFour tweeted: “Peter Obi cannot stoop low to lock horns with Elrufai. Obi is way above him physically, financially, mentally, socially, academically and otherwise.”
