Deputy Senate leader representing Kebbi South senatorial zone, Bala Ibn Na’Allah has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) indirect primaries, Thursday, in Zuru, Kebbi state.
News Express gathered that five aspirants contested in the exercise that commenced on Wednesday and lasted until Thursday.
Declaring the result, Garba Bello Musa, representative of the APC that conducted the exercise, said out of the 1,967 total vote cast, Na'Allah polled 1,095 votes; Ambassador Mohammad Arzika got nine votes; Mrs Asiya Aminu polled five votes; DIG Suleiman Dauda Fakai scored 192, while Prince Sule-Iko Sami poled 652 votes.
Fourteen votes were, however, declared invalid.
The APC senatorial primaries earlier scheduled for Tuesday, was postponed for Wednesday.
Former governor and Senator representing Kebbi Central, Mohammed Adamu Aliero, was returned unopposed in Birnin Kebbi.
Eleven aspirants are also expected to slug it out in the House of Representatives indirect primaries for Danko-Wasagu, Fakai, Sakaba and Zuru federal constituency of Zuru Emirate.
Seven aspirants are also expected to contest for the Yauri, Shanga and Ngaski federal constituency in Yauri Emirate.
Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu was on Saturday returned unopposed as the flagbearer of the APC in the state.
