PDP Presidential Primaries: Only Saraki can defeat Buhari — Primate Ayodele

Primate Ayodele and Saraki

General Overseer of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church Oke Afa Isolo, Lagos, Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele (JP), has urged the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to ensure that Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, will clinch the presidential ticket of the party for the 2019 presidential selection as he is the only one that can defeat Muhammadu Buhari hands down in the anticipated high wire epic poll coming up in February next year.

According to him in an exclusive interview in Lagos yesterday with News Express, the Prophet stressed that God revealed to him that the Kwara State-born Medical Doctor cum Politician would turn out to be the nemesis of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in next year’s presidential election as it is evidence why the party hierarchy has been growing grey hairs since the fiery politician returned to his form party the PDP to challenge the incumbent President Buhari for the 2019 election.

“From every indication, it is obvious how the return of Senate President return to his former party to contest for the number one seat in the land therefore APC has never relented in ensuring that his campaign would be detailed but the Senate President is aware of their plans and has been countering them to the letter The ruling party is never at ease with Saraki’s entry and strong reception he receives from across the country he has visited for sale his programme to the PDP supporters for the Port Harcourt Rivers State Convention from October 5 to 6 and therefore he is a potent force that knows how best to defeat APC and its candidate despite their rigging mechanisms,” he insisted.

Primate Ayodele charged party members and delegates to consider who will be a electoral value to the party than voting for a candidate that would fail woefully against President Buhari. There should be no sentiment among the delegates and the PDP leadership must be alive to their responsibilities to make sure this candidate with huge pedigree and electoral fortunes would emerge in order to defeat Buhari.

“It obvious that APC has nothing to lay hands in relation to achievement (s) on ground since it came to power in 2015 but the party’s propaganda and deceitful machinery is on the prowl deceiving unsuspecting Nigerians that they have done this or that, you will agree with me that it was against that background that the Vice President, Professor Osinbajo has been dispatch to go round all the states of the federation to tell lies and gather poor Nigerians and distribute N10,000 in what he calls empowerment. It is so ridiculous that the Vice President would embark on such deceitful errand for the sake of election. However with Saraki armed with the PDP ticket for 2019, all the antics of the ruling APC will be nothing,” he added.

The cleric restated that if the PDP fail to give Senate President its ticket, Buhari will defeat whoever it will present and that would spell the death nail of the party even some Governors would opt to vote for Buhari instead of the party’s candidate. The man of God said it is that reason why the party leaders must put their heads together to ensure that a stronger candidate that knows how to deal with Buhari and his party will bear its flag for the election that holds a lot for the opposition party. If Saraki is given the flag he will win and thereby bringing back the PDP back into reckoning again to put the country back into the path or economic recovery and prosperity which has eluded her since the coming of APC government in 2015.

Primate Ayodele further revealed that though APC strives in rigging elections but the strong and vigilant network the Senate President has built over these years across the country and even party lines will effectively neutralise the rigging mechanisms the APC has put in place inconvenience with INEC and all the security agencies in the land.

“I don’t know him and I am not a politician – I am only obeying and relaying the message from the Most High God that this is a man that can rescue this country from these Egyptians. Nigerians need messiah, fearless, thorough and zeal to call a spade by its name. The way and manner he has piloted the affairs of the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly is an eloquent testimony of his acumen despite hiccups lined by this APC government one after the other and called on the PDP leaders not to make wrong decision and conduct free, fair and transparent Presidential primary as only such atmosphere would throw up Dr. Bukola Saraki as the party’s flag bearer for the 2019 Presidential poll,” he said.
