The swearing-in ceremony held at the INEC Electoral Institute in Abuja had in attendance over 68 chairmen of political parties and other key stakeholders in the Nigerian electoral process, including INEC Observers.
The officials elected on September 5, 2018 took turns to take their Oath of Office amidst cheers and celebration from supporters and chieftains of different political parties. The Following Officers were sworn in today are;

2. Hon. Geff Ojinika - Deputy Chairman
3. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere - Publicity Secretary

Responding, the newly sworn in Chairman, High Chief Peter Ameh, promised to carry everybody along, fight the menace of vote buying and pursue the signing of the electoral act amendment bill into law to ensure credible, free and fair elections come 2019 and beyond.
An attempt by the police to foil the swearing in today was foiled by the smart move of the new officials who held the swearing in ceremony before the police could have the opportunity to foil the process with the police last minute demand that the new Chairman and the Electoral Committee Chairman appear by 10am today, same time the swearing in ceremony was slated.
Immediately after the swearing in, the new chairman of IPAC in company of the new officials and over 30 Chairmen of different political parties stormed the police headquarters to honour the controversial police invitation. As at the time of filling this report, the police is still holding the Chairmen of the political parties who joined to honor the invitation.
