Another chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara state, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has defected with over 100,000 of its members to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

Abdulrahaman made this known yesterday in an interview with journalists, after his registration with the All Progressives Congress (APC)at his Idi-igba ancestral home in Ilorin.

He said, “All my supporters have moved from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to All Progressives Congress (APC), we are talking in the region of over 100,000 electorates. Already, the national leadership of APC had sent 250,000 cards to Kwara state in order to accommodate all of us.”

Let me give you a clearer example, “In Kaima local government, 90% of the party members did not move to PDP, they remained where they were. Now 80% of Kwara north as a whole also stayed behind, even in Kwara central where I come from most people did not move with them, so there is a change in the horizon”

The party chieftain explained that his defection with his mammoth supporters to the All Progressives Congress will bring about the long awaiting desired change to the opposition, All Progressives Congress in the state.

He was optimistic that the looming change in Kwara state in the forthcoming elections, would bring a final end to what he described as the ongoing maladministration in the state for over twenty years now.
