Governor Okorocha
After objective and critical assessment of Governor Anayo Ethelbert Rochas Okorocha’s rescue mission government which berthed in 2011, vis-a-vis his capital receipts, including loans, grants, receipts in form of IGR, Privatisations, concessions, emergency/interventionist releases, without commensurate development index on ground to quantity financial flow, one would be tempted to believe and truly that Imo the eastern Heartland has been scammed.
Chief Rochas Okorocha, the northern trained real estate businessman cum contractor, no doubt is a sweet-talker, smart politician but very slippery and deceptive. Highly charismatic, though very greedy, with no record of positive achievement in the last 7½ years.
Some government policy issues and development drive one could have used to score Okorocha high like the free education, building of primary school blocks and urban renewal project embarked upon were flashes in the palm. A tour of primary and secondary schools in rural communities that made up 27 Imo LGAs, road networks in Imo as well as visit to Imo State Polytechnics, Umuagwo, and Imo State University, Owerri, you will be overwhelmed that truly Imo has been shortchanged and denied every measurable index for good governance.
The chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC Governor's Forum is desperate to save his head and run away from troubles of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC and their sister agency, the ICPC by installing his Son-in-law and Chief of Staff, Uche Nwosu as Governor of Imo State in 2019 using federal might, power of incumbency and hope of support from security architecture in Imo State.
A cursory look at Imo critical infrastructures, road, water scheme, rural electrification, Healthcare system, educational system, local government system, Civil services and other development index will come to a quick conclusion that political disaster had befallen Imo.
If Imo political class, heads of religious bodies , Trade Union Congress, Nigeria Bar Association, Nigeria Union of Journalist, Imo Youths and Women don't come together and unit to retrieve power from Governor Rochas Okorocha and stop his 3rd bid through proxy , Imo will be converted to Okorocha Socio-political and Economic ESTATE, and I repeat, If he used whip to coarse all to silence between 2015 till now, he will use scorpion to torment all in the worst political slavery in the history of Igbo land.
As a conscientious Imo son, I beckon on the avalanche of politicians and contractors masquerading as 2019 Imo governorship aspirants across party line to eschew their ego, vaulting political ambition and unite for the patriotic goal of retrieving Imo from the catastrophe that may befall the state if nothing urgent is done.
I am pained that Imo alone have more than 50 governorship aspirants challenging only Okorocha’s anointed successor. It’s quite crazy and ridiculous. It’s more painful that contractors and pretenders among them who could not win even councillorship election in their community in a free and fair contest are printing posters and billboards for Imo Governorship because some millions that missed road were traced into their accounts.
Those who will betray Ndi-Imo in 2019 will be revolted against. I beg Imo sons and daughters, please forgive your brothers and sisters who had offended you in one way or another to reflect and remember the sacrifice of our forefathers, remember the sufferings in Imo today, remember the future of our generation and children unborn. We have made tremendous mistake in 2011 and 2015. Let it not be repeated. Let’s form a formidable army and battle our common enemy. Let Ndi-Imo jointly and gloriously return the Eastern Heartland to the path of prosperity, peace and development and ultimately in the hands of God.
I have passed the message of He who sent me. The Oracle of the Most High God! Those who are plotting to kill me will end up destroying themselves!
