The Public Service Institute of Nigeria and Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Bwari Chapter may have struck a symbiotic deal to improve the capacity of engineers within the jurisdiction.

A statement by the Director of Press & Public Relations, Ekaete Umoh, said the NSE will also provide technical support to the PSIN as well as areas that will be of mutual benefit to both parties and humanity.

Meanwhile, the HiiT ICT Training Centre in PSIN has graduated the first set of 124 participants at the just-concluded training for students in Digital Literacy Course.

The Administrator/Chief Executive officer of PSIN, Dr. Abdul-Ganiyu Obatoyibo and Chairman of the NSE Bwari Chapter, Engr. Dauda Musa, arrived Seth the decision when the latter led the team on a courtesy visit to PSIN Headquarters in Abuja.

He said the purpose of the visit was to identify with the achievements and successes of the Obatoyinbo since assumption of office.

Musa added that there are many engineers resident within the Bwari area which necessitated the request for a chapter which was recently granted.

Responding, Obatoyinbo expressed appreciation to the group for identifying with the PSIN.

He urged the NSE to take advantage of the facilities and training programmes offered by the PSIN and assured them that the organisation will work with them in areas that required technical input.

HIIT in collaboration with the PSIN had recently opened an 80 seater capacity ICT Training Centre.

The Managing Director/ CEO of HiiT Plc, Kayode Shobajo, offered N5 million scholarship to children of PSIN staff within the Dutsen Alhaji community as part of corporate social investment.

A total of 124 students graduated and were issued certificates in Digital Literacy Course, while 5 students were awarded gifts for their outstanding performance.

In his message to the participants at the closing ceremony, Shobajo urged the children to use their spare time for productive and profitable ventures. He advised them to shun vices and stay away from bad company.

He charged them to be agents of change in their communities and schools and to use the newly acquired knowledge positively.
