He spoke during a Thanksgiving/Appreciation service held in his honour by a group of OHANIVO constituents who have benefited from the lawmaker's employment scheme, noted that Okorie was the only lawmaker in the state who has performed beyond the expectations of his people.

Umahi represented at the event which took place at Onicha Central School Egunkwo, in Onicha Local Government Area of the state by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr.Hyginus Nwokwu ,said that if other national assembly members from the state were passionate about fighting unemployment and infrastructural challenges in their various constituencies like himself and the legislature in OHANIVO, the level of unemployment in the state would have been reduced to the barest minimum.

He called on them to look beyond legislative businesses and explore other benefits inherent in their mandates for the benefits of their constituents and the state at large.

It was learnt that over 80 constituents of OHANIVO Federal constituency have benefited from the employment scheme of the lawmaker, in addition to his numerous infrastructural and human capital development efforts in the area.

President of Caringheart vanguards, Mr.Obinna Ngwu, an association of OHANIVO constituents have gained employment in different federal government agencies through the instrumentality of Caringheart Heart.

He urged the beneficiaries of the employment who were in attendance during the occasion to empower other youths in the constituency by assisting them.

“Some of you were 15 years out of school without jobs but we have changed that condition by securing you jobs. Some of our youths who think that going to school is no longer useful, it is very useful.
