NPM tasks youths on peaceful elections

A group of progressive-minded individuals under the aegis of Nigeria Progressive Movement (NPM) has called on youths to visibly and peacefully participate in the forthcoming general elections.

The group made the call in a statement jointly signed by its National Coordinator and Director, Media & Publicity; Comrade Iphy Osadebe and Kennedy Gbados respectively charging all youths to vote in the elections, but desist from all acts of violence.

NPM noted that Nigerian “youths should at this time resolve to stand firmly for the peaceful conduct of the election and for the one-man-one-vote system.” It disclosed that plans are on the way to have a nation-wide campaign on voting rights and voters protection.

NPM advised the youths to portray themselves accordingly, and should steer from being used as pawns and devices in activities that may be detrimental to the unity and security of the nation.
