The police in Enugu state said there was no any promotion scandal in the command as reported in some section of the print media.

The command’s image maker, Mr Ebere Amaraizu, in a statement described the report false and misleading and a calculated attempt to paint the image of the state police command in a bad light and also cause ripples in the existing sound relationship with the public.
According to Amaraizu, the command, however, view the false and misleading report as figments of the writers’ imagination aimed at creating tension and panic amongst law-abiding and dedicated officers and men of the command.

The command further wishes to inform members of the public that there is no such incident in the command as none has been brought before the commissioner of police either orally or in writing and assured that investigations into the said false and misleading report have commenced.
