Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola
The Special Adviser to Osun State governor on Cooperatives, Mr Gbenga Awosode, has resigned his position from the state government and membership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Available information has revealed that Awosode sent his resignation letter to the state governor and the state party leadership also announcing his withdrawal of membership from APC in the state on Tuesday.
Awosode is believed to have taken the decision to join the team of Moshood Olalekan Adeoti, former Secretary to Osun State Government (SSG), who also defected to Action Democratic Party (ADP).
Adeoti is the gubernatorial candidate of ADP for September 22, 2018, governorship election in the state.
It was further gathered that Governor Aregbesola has accepted his letter of resignation.
Awosode’s resignation letter has attracted mixed reactions from political circle in the state.
