A Stakeholders Forum convened by the Oyo State Signage and Advertisement Agency (OYSAA) holds this morning at the Civic Centre, Agodi, G.R.A Ibadan.

Scheduled to start by 10:00 a.m., the forum has as “Re-engineering Oyo State Outdoor Space for the benefit of all.”

According to OYSAA Director General, Mr. Yinka Adepoju (frpa), “The purpose of this meeting is to ensure that all stakeholders are carried along in the actualization of the Agency’s mandate as we intend to roll out the new order of what the Outdoor Space in Oyo State will look like vis a vis the Agency’s guidelines.”

Adepoju said in a statement that “the Stakeholders forum will equally afford all practitioners, advertisers, governmental institutions and the general public opportunity to make their modest contributions on the way forward for the Out-Of-Home media in Oyo State.”

“No doubt, everybody’s inputs on how best to achieve the Agency’s goal of creating a world-Class Signage and Outdoor Advertising Environment in Oyo State will be most welcome either as memoranda or topics for discussion at the meeting,” he added.

Transport & Business Express reports that the Oyo State House of Assembly had on April 20, 2012 passed into law a bill to provide for the regulation of Signage, Hoarding and Advertisement in Oyo State and for connected purpose. With that, OYSAA was established and thereafter inaugurated by the Oyo State governor, Senator Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi.
