Flood has killed six persons within the last three days in Babura Local Government Area of Jigawa State following a two-hour heavy downpour.

Five of the victims, who are family members, died on the spot following the collapse of their apartment at Kofar Yamma.

The fifth victim, who sustained a broken leg, later died yesterday at Babura General Hospital.

The Executive Secretary of Jigawa State Emergency Management Agency, Yusuf Sani Babura, identified the deceased family members as Saro Habu, Maryam Habu, Bilk Habu, Hafsa Habu, and Usman Habu.
