It was an embarrassing moment for the Nigerian military as a terrorist successfully attacked a church within the premises of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State in Nigeria North-West.
A Reuter’s report a car bomb was detonated in front of the church, immediately resulting in the death of a number of people.
Reuters quoted a military officer who witnessed the bombing as saying: “I saw five bodies and scores injured.”
Speaking with the Lagos-based Channels TV, Mr. Yushau A. Shuaib, an official of the National Emergency Agency (NEMA) in Abuja, has confirmed the incident.
“NEMA rescuers have been alerted to an explosion at a military formation in Kaduna state today and likely at a worship centre,” he said.
