President Goodluck Jonathan this evening wielded the big stick, sacking the Board and Management of the Nigerian national petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
Information just filtering in from Abuja, the nation’s capital, has it that Austin Yakubu has been appointed the new Group Managing Director to take over from Austin Oniwon while Benard Oti has been appointed new Executive Director Finance & Accounts.
NNPC, which lost its spokesman, Dr. Levi Ajuonuma, in the June 3 Dana air crash in Lagos, has been enmeshed in scandals, including the fuel subsidy scam.
