Majority of invited guests at the commissioning of Abuja Mass Rail Transit (ARMT) were left embarrassed on Thursday as power cut occurred just as announcement was made for President Muhammadu Buhari to deliver his keynote address.

The chief host and Minister of the Federal Capital Terrorism (FCT), Mohammed Bello and the China Ambassador, Zhou Pingjian, had just ended theirspeeches which went on smoothly.

However, immediately the president was invited to the podium for his address, the power cut occurred throwing the temporary tent venue of the occasion into huge murmuring.

Some of the guests suggested that there may have been an attempt to sabotage the event.

Apparently unperturbed, the president went ahead to read his speech using a battery powered public address system.

The light was restored after about five minutes just before the president ended his speech.
