Security mobilisation for Ekiti is a shame — ALDI

Hon Dominic Nwuzor

The Director-General of Atiku Leadership Development Initiative (ALDI), Hon. Dominic Nwuzor, yesterday berated the Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government for effectively mobilizing security personnel for the Ekiti State governorship election of Saturday, while failing to do same to curb the menace Fulani herdsmen ravaging the North and Middle Belt regions of the country.

Nwuzor, who stated this during the official inauguration of the group’s EXCO in Abakaliki, described the action of the federal government as a shame and a let-down on Nigerians whose lives and property it swore to protect against all odds.

Inaugurating the State Exco of ALDI, the Director General of the group who stated that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar was the answer to Nigeria’s problems described him as a detribalized and people-oriented leader that would reposition the dwindling economy of the country and give a face-lift to the nation.

According to him, the country needs leaders who can initiate programmes and policies capable of improving the living standards of Nigerians and restore the country’s pride of place in Africa and the world and that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has both the qualification and experience to bring it to pass.

“He is a detribalised and a true Nigerian; he is someone who can proffer solutions to the economy; he believes in the diversification of the economy and believes in education; he is one of the greatest employers of labour in the country who believe in affecting the lives of Nigerians positively; with him Nigeria will get working again.

“If he is made the President, he has already made plans for Nigeria and to get it working again; we are grounded in the South-South, middle belt, few states in the north; we just inaugurated Bayelsa, Rivers State, Enugu now Ebonyi and we are moving on.

“Atiku has championed the cause of restructuring; you cannot have all the powers at the centre; it has to trickle down; we need to diversify our economy.”
