Nyanya bombing: Allah will disgrace the perpetrators —JNI

Umbrella body of Nigerian Muslims, the Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), has expressed confidence that Allah will expose and disgrace perpetrators of Thursday’s bomb explosion at Nyanya, a suburb of Abuja, and restore peace in Nigeria.

JNI in a statement issued yesterday in Kaduna by its Secretary General, Dr. Khalid Abubakar Aliyu, expressed great displeasure over the terrorist act and condemned it without reservations.

“We received with complete daze, the news of another blast in Nyanya, Abuja which claimed the lives of many innocent Nigerians in a day when Nigerian workers were celebrating their National Day and reflecting on how to move the nation forward,” Dr. Aliyu said in the statement.

“JNI strongly condemns this act of terror and sympathises with all the affected victims and also consoles the families of those who lost their lives in the unfortunate incident,” he further said, adding:

“As usual, JNI calls on all authorities concerned to be more committed to their responsibility of protecting the lives and properties of Nigerians as no development can be achieved in a situation of insecurity, anxiety and Chaos. All hands must be on deck to stop these perpetual massacres before our enemies could achieve their goal of destroying our country.

“May Allah The All-Mighty, The Compeller, The Supreme, and The All-Knowing, bring an end to this nagging evil, disgrace the perpetrators and grant us lasting peace, security, harmonious co-existence and a promising future full of happiness and development in our country.”
