The recent deployment of a new Commissioner of Police, Bala Ciroma to Plateau State has been reversed by the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.

CP Ciroma who was the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (CIID) FCT Abuja took over from CP Undie Adie on Tuesday.

However, a statement issued by the Plateau State Police Command yesterday stated that the IG had reversed the earlier deployment of CP Adie back to the State while CP Ciroma has since handed over and returned to the force headquarters.

The statement which was signed by the Police spokesman, DSP Tyopev Terna stated that “the IG reasons that CP Adie understands the terrain better as such he is to remain and steer the ship of the tides. CP Adie has already taken over the command from CP Bala Ciroma.”
The command appealed to those spreading false information on village attacks to desist but to report such information to the police. (Daily Trust)
