Cloudy skies
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Friday, June 8, 2018:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected over this region in
the morning hours. Later in the afternoon/evening period, there are chances of localised thunderstorms over Gusau and Yelwa axis. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 34 – 43℃and 22 – 26℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: There are chances of thunderstorms in the morning hours over Ilorin and Shaki. There are Prospects of localised thunderstorms over Jos, Kaduna, Minna, Bida, Lafia and Abuja in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32 – 34℃and 22 – 25℃respectively.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy condition are likely over this region with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Akure, Ado-Ekiti, Lagos and Calabar axis in the morning hours while the Inland of the South-West is most likely to be in localised thunderstorms in the afternoon/evening period. Localised rains are anticipated over the southwest and coastal region during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 34℃and 22 – 24℃respectively.
