Court grants Ex-Kaduna Governor Yero bail

A federal high court sitting in Kaduna hasWednesday, granted bail to former Governor of Kaduna State Mukthar Ramalan Yero.

Mr. Yero is standing trial along with three others over alleged diversion of N700 million 2015 PDP campaign funds.

Granting the bail after listening to arguments for and against the bail application, Justice Lawal Shuaibu granted the accused N1 million bail with two sureties in like sum who must have properties in the state.

The former governor, his Chief of staff, former state Chairman of the PDP Haruna Gaiya and a former minister of state Nuhu Wuye were earlier remanded in prison pending the determination of their bail application.

The trial Judge adjourned the case till the29 of September 2018for hearing.
