The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today,Wednesday, May 16, 2018:

NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are anticipated over most parts of the region during the forecast period with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Maiduguri, Potiskum, Yola, Gombe and its environs during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 33 – 39℃and 21 – 28℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are envisaged in the morning hours

with chances of localised rain showers over Kaduna and Abuja. Later in the day, places like Jos, Abuja, Mambilla plateau and Makurdi axis are expected to have localised thunderstorms. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 25 – 33℃and 18 – 25℃respectively.

SOUTHERN STATES: Increased cloudiness is expected over most parts of the region with chances of rains over Port Harcourt, Eket and Calabar axis during the morning hours. There are prospects of isolated rains/showers over the inland cities such as Oshogbo, Ado-Ekiti, Enugu and Awka, including the coastal cities like Port-Harcourt, Yenagoa, Warri, and environs during the evening period. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 34℃and 21 – 24℃respectively.
