The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Monday, May 14, 2018:

NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are anticipated over this region except for Sokoto, Yelwa, Gusau and Maiduguri axis where localised thunderstorms are anticipated in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 32 – 38℃and 23 – 26℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy morning is probable over this region except for Mambilla Plateau axis where localised thunderstorm is expected. Later in the afternoon/evening hours, there are chances of localised thunderstorms over Lafia, Makurdi, Abuja and Lokoja while most places are expected to be cloudy. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 25 – 34℃and 16 – 25℃respectively except Jos 25/18℃.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning is anticipated over the Inland cities with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Owerri, Awka, Enugu, Umuahia, Akure and Ado-Ekiti in the afternoon/evening hour. Cloudy morning is expected over the coastal cities with chances of isolated rains over Uyo, Calabar, Port Harcourt, Eket and its environs while the entire coastal cities are expected to be under the influence of localised thunderstorm in the afternoon/evening period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 - 33℃and 19 – 24℃respectively.
