Leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force (NDPVF), Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo Asari, has torn former Nasir el-Rufai into shreds, dismissing the former minister-turned-government critic as a thief and a hypocrite.

In a message he posted on his Facebook page this evening, Dokubo, who was waged an armed struggle against Nigeria, also lambasted the one-time Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as a betrayer who once played the role of an attack dog for former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

Below, unedited, is the posting by Dokubo: When we continue to listen and give attention to a man who was part of a government that was adjudged the most corrupt in the history of this contraption-Nigeria... El Rufai who became the attack dog of Obj even against Atiku whose benevolence brought him into that government ... He stole and stole and even ate the bone that was hanging on his neck... If El Rufai has nothing to hide, why did he go on AWOL when his Gambari brother was in charge?... I am not surprised if he can betray his Gambari brother who gave him the mouth to talk and the hand to write... How much more a shoeless Azikiweboy from Otueke... An unknown outpost in the Ijaw nation
