Cloudy skies
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted dust haze weather conditions with visibility range of about 2–5km over the central states of the county on Monday.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Sunday also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 25℃–36℃and 9℃–20℃respectively.
The agency predicted that the Southern states would experience sunny and hazy conditions over the inland cities with early morning mist/fog patches over some coastal cities like Uyo, Benin, Calabar, Yenagoa and Port Harcourt.
It also predicted cloudy skies over the coastal cities with chances of localised showers over Calabar, Eket, Port Harcourt and Yenagoa with day and night temperatures in the range of 33℃–37℃and 19℃–23℃respectively.
According to NiMet, Northern states will experience dust haze conditions with visibility range of 1 -3kmover the North Central to North Eastern states with day and night temperatures in the range of 28℃–32℃and 10℃–19℃respectively.
“There will also be moderate dust haze with visibility range of 2-5kmover the North Western cities of Yelwa and Sokoto and their environs throughout the forecast period.
“Dust haze conditions are probable over most parts of the country, however, rain showers/thunderstorms are likely over some parts of the Southeast coast within the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted.
