The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for Tuesday, January 2, 2018:

NORTHERN STATES: Thick dust haze condition is expected over this region throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 26 – 33℃and 10 – 15℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Thick dust haze condition is expected over this region throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32 – 34℃and 14 – 21℃respectively, except over Jos where 26℃/11℃day and night temperatures are expected.

SOUTHERN STATES: Dust haze conditions are anticipated over the inland cities with localised visibility range of 2 – 5km during the forecast period. However, the coastal cities are expected to be hazy in the morning hours with partly cloudy condition which is likely to give localised rain showers over Port Harcourt, Calabar and Uyo in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32 – 35℃and 19 – 23℃respectively.
