The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for Friday, December 29, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Dust haze condition is expected over this region with horizontalvisibility range of about (2– 5) km throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 27 – 30℃ and 13 – 17℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: The dust haze condition over this region is anticipated to persist in horizontal visibility range of about 2 – 5 km and localised visibility of less than or equal to 1000m over few places like Ilorin and Bida throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 27 – 34℃and 11 – 21℃ respectively, except over Jos where 26℃/11℃ day and night temperature are expected.

SOUTHERN STATES: Dust haze condition is expected over the inland cities of this region with horizontal visibility range of about 1 – 3 km and localised visibility of less than 1,000m in places like Akure, Osogbo, Enugu, and Owerri axis. The coastal cities are expected to experience early morning fog/mist. Partly cloudy skies are not unlikely with prospect of localised thunderstorms over Yenagoa, Port Harcourt and Calabar axis in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 33℃and 15 – 21℃respectively.
