Dust haze

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for Wednesday, December 27, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Thick dust haze conditions in reduced horizontal visibility are envisaged over this region throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 24 – 30℃and 11 – 17℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Dust haze conditions in horizontal visibility range of 1-3 km and localised visibility of less than 1,000m few cities are anticipated over this region throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 24 – 33℃and 10 – 21℃respectively, except over Jos where 26℃/10℃day and night temperature are expected.

SOUTHERN STATES: Dust haze conditions with horizontal visibility range of 1 – 3 km are anticipated over this region. However, few places around the inland cities may have localised visibility of less than 1,000m during the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 33℃and 15 – 21℃respectively.
