Vice President Osinbajo dispensing fuel at a Lagos filling station
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Christmas Eve made a stop-over at Oando and Hayden filling stations at Lekki area of Lagos State, to have on-the-spot assessment of the crisis across the country.
The Vice President, who assisted in dispensing fuel to those who queued to purchase the product, assured Nigerians that the hardship will soon come to an end.
And yesterday (Christmas Day) in Ekiti, the State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, supervised the sale of fuel to motorists in the capital city of Ado Ekiti in fulfillment of his promise to release 80 per cent of the petrol in the Government House fuel dump to two petrol stations in Ado Ekiti to be sold at N145 per litre.
Fayose supervised the sale of petrol to the people at Alade Filling Station along Iyin Road, Ado-Ekiti.
Some motorists who bought fuel during the government-assisted sales, among them Mr Tope Joshua, Dr. Kuku and Babalola Adeleye, lauded the governor for being sensitive to the plight of the people.
They condemned the Federal Government for not making fuel available and for passing the bulk of their alleged failure to the marketers.
