A fresh attack has occurred at Ungwar Mailafiya of Kwagiri district Jemaa Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

This comes few days after four people were killed by a lone gunman at the Nindem village of Godogodo area of Kaduna state.

An indigene of the area and a member of the House of Representatives representing Jemaa/Sanga Federal Constituency, Nicholas Shehu Garba, who confirmed the latest attack to our correspondent in Kaduna, says the gunmen stormed the community at about 6pm on Sunday and opened fire on the residents which resulted to the death of six people.

According to him, those that were injured have been taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

He called on security agencies to quickly investigate the latest incidents with a view to apprehending and bringing the perpetrators to Justice.

Also, Spokesman for the Kaduna State Government, Samuel Aruwan, has described the attack on the innocent citizens of the state as barbaric and inhuman aimed at truncating the peace that has been restored to some trouble communities in Southern Kaduna.

The attacks, coming on the eve of Christmas festivities, are reminiscent of a similar incident at Goska community on the eve of last year’s Christmas celebration. (Channels TV)
