Abia Petroleum Commissioner Chizuru Kanu
The Abia State Government on Monday afternoon announced filling stations in the capital city of Umuahia and commercial hub of Aba where people can get fuel at the approved government price of N145 a litre.
A Public Service Announcement issued in Umuahia said that following the various meetings and engagements by the Commissioner for Petroleum, Barr Chizuru Kanu, with the management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and others, the following filling stations in Abia State lifted PMS (petrol) from NNPC Aba Depot at Osisioma yesterday, 24/12/17:
1. NUA No. 49 Okigwe Road Aba – 33,000 litres
2. NNPC MEGA Station Umuahia – 66,000 litres
3. AOFOBI Umuocham road, Aba – 30,000 litres
4. Bobby, New Umuahia Road Aba – 33,000 litres
5. Oando, Ubakala Junction – 11,000 litres
6. Oando Old Aba road – 11,000 litres
7. Thankgod 25B Ngwa road, Aba – 33,000 litres
“Members of the public are advised to visit those stations and buy PMS at Government approved price,” the statement personally signed by the Commissioner said.
It added that “Abia State Government is continuously engaging with relevant authorities to ensure that travelers in the state and other users of petroleum products are fairly and adequately served this Yuletide season and going forward.”
