To ensure effective traffic management in the state, Delta State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, has donated an articulated JAC Towing Van to Federal Road Safety Corps [FRSC], Delta State Command, stressing that “an effective traffic management is a prerequisite for an improved economy”.

Speaking at a brief handing over ceremony on Saturday in Asaba, Okowa, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Rt. Hon. Ovie Agas, said that the towing van would assist the FRSC in its traffic management and removal of broken down vehicles on our roads.

“Delta State Government is determined to ensure effective traffic management and improve the logistics and capability of the FRSC to carry out its duties in the state,” he stated

The governor charged the FRSC to ensure free flow of traffic on our roads especially at the Niger Bridge Head during this yuletide season to ease the stress on commuters.

Receiving the van, Mr. Rindom Koumven, Sector Command, FRSC Delta State, thanked the state government for the kind gesture and its commitment to traffic management assuring that the FRSC is poised to carry out its duties effectively and make our roads safe.
