Popular politician and engineer, Dr. Ezekiel Izuogu, will leader four other delegates to represent Imo State at the National Conference scheduled to hold in Abuja, the Nigerian capital, from March to May.
Senior Special Assistant to the Imo State Governor on Media, Sam Onwuemeodo, disclosed this in a statement sent to News express this morning from the state capital, Owerri.
Onwuemeodo said that Governor Rochas Anayo Okorocha “has graciously approved and forwarded the names of five illustrious sons and one illustrious daughter of the state for the forthcoming National Conference to be held in Abuja.
“In a letter forwarded to the Secretary of the Government of the Federation and personally signed by His Excellency and dated, February 20, 2014, a renowned politician in the state with character, Engr. Dr. Ezekiel Izuogu would represent Orlu zone, while Chief Bob Njemanze and Chief (Mrs.) Chidinma Uwajumogu would represent Owerri and Okigwe zones respectively.
Chief Uzoma Iheme Nwosu, Prof. Chinedu Nwajiuba, and Chief Cyril Amako would also be at the conference to represent ethnic interest with the governor stating that the letter of February 20, 2014 supersedes his earlier letter dated February 14, 2014.
“The Governor has also explained that he forwarded the names of these patriotic citizens of the state because they would represent the state well. He urged them to remain good ambassadors of the state at the conference.”
