Excited APC waving the broom at Tony Nwoye's final campaign, Wednesday in Awka
The city of Awka was on Wednesday taken over with pomp and pageantry as President Muhammadu Buhari, in company of 12 governors, 18 senators and members of the House of Representatives, as well as officials of the All Progressives Congress (APC) stormed the Anambra State capital for the grand rally of their flagbearer for the governorship election, Dr. Tony Nwoye.
Buhari, who said he was highly impressed with the large turnout APC supporters at the rally ahead of theNovember 18election, expressed the hope that the party would bounce back by electing Nwoye to serve as a clear demonstration of the support of the people of the state to his administration.
Speaking at the rally that took place at the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, President Buhari promised that the APC–controlled Federal Government would continue to meet the aspirations of the people, saying that he was expecting the National Assembly to pass what his administration had planned towards infrastructural development in the country.
