A mild drama occurred yesterday morning at Ogba area of Ikeja, Lagos State, following the mysterious death of two unidentified lovers inside a Toyota Corolla car.

An eyewitness said the man and his alleged mistress, believed to be a married woman with kids, were having sex in the car when they suddenly died. They were allegedly found naked. The duo were reported to have driven to an area behind the Nigeria Institute of Journalism (NIJ) to engage in sex.

By the time passers-by saw them, the car engine was still running and the air conditioner was on and working, indicating they did not die of suffocation.

The eyewitnesses raised the alarm and reported to the Area ‘G’ Police Command, Ogba.

Policemen promptly rushed to the scene. When contacted, the Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Olarinde Famous-Cole, said the bodies had been taken to the mortuary.

According to Famous-Cole: “Yes it is true. When information got to the area command, our men raced to the scene, and conveyed the bodies to the mortuary. Police have commenced further investigation and an autopsy would be carried out on the bodies.” (The Guardian)
