The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, has charged officers of the commission to uphold professionalism and other core values in the discharge of their duties. He stated this on Thursday during his first official visit to the Benin Zonal Office of the Commission.

“The idea was to see how you are fairing. I am impressed with what I have seen considering the fact that the zone started four months ago,” he said.

He charged the officers in the zone to work as a team and collaborate with one another as well as with other zones as the fight against corruption requires a collective and holistic approach. “Nobody can personally take credit for the successes achieved as it is a collective effort,” Magu said.

He also charged the officers not to be distracted but apply themselves to the task of fighting and eliminating corruption from the country. Hear him: “Don’t be distracted but concentrate on your duties as we have a responsibility to God and to our country Nigeria.”
