Vice President, Prof Yemi Osibanjo, Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki and all the Governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are expected in Awka today (Friday) to grace the flag-off of the party’s governorship campaign for the November 18 election.

Addressing journalists in Awka on the preparations for the flag-off, the Tony Nwoye campaign chairman, Hon Azuka Okwuosa, said that the rally will take place at the All Saints Cathedral field in Onitsha.

He said that some of the APC governors had already arrived the state in readiness for the epoch making event adding that the party machinery is working to mobilise all Anambra people within and outside the state to the rally.

Earlier in his speech, the Director General, Tony Nwoye Campaign Organisation, Hon Ossy Ezenwa, said that notable members of other political parties who are rooting for the party in the state would be received at the flag off.

He noted that the flag off even would signal the nailing of both the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

While calling on party faithful to troop to the venue in solidarity to their own, he said that APC apart from being the party at the centre, has all it takes to win the governorship election n the state.
