Anambra PDP governorship candidate Oseloka Obaze
The flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the November 18, 2017 governorship election in Anambra State, Mr. Oseloka Obaze, has promised to run an all inclusive government if elected as the next governor of the state.
Obaze made the pledge at the 2017 New Yam Festival of Ihembosi community in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of the state saying that while serving as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) under former Governor Peter Obi, that the state government implemented the Anambra Integrated Development Strategy (ANIDS).
According to him, the ANIDS programme ensured that no community was left behind, as all the 177 communities in the state were developed simultaneously.
Obaze maintained that any government that favours some section of the people over the other has lost its credibility and trust of the people.
While vowing to bring back ANIDS if elected, the PDP flag bearer said his government will also give all the communities a sense of belonging adding that he has mapped out plans to evenly distribute the state’s resources to all parts of the state.
In his speech, the member representing Ekwusigo State Constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Onyebuchi Offor, lambasted the incumbent administration for what he described as an unfair distribution of the state’s resources.
Offor, who also doubles as the House Minority Leader, accused the incumbent Governor of cornering major development projects to his hometown of Aguleri to the detriment of other constituent communities of the state.
He decried the high spate of abandoned projects in his Ekwusigo LGA as against what obtains in the Governor’s LGA where several projects have been completed.
Offor urged the people to diligently seek for leaders who have the interest of the masses at heart.
