Rector of the Institute, Mr. Samuel Timi Johnson, made the revelation during an interactive session with online media professionals who recently undertook a facility visit to the Institute. He disclosed that NBTE, after series of inspection visits, is so impressed with the efforts of the IITH Management in this regard that it wrote to communicate the impending full accreditation to the IITH Management. “We expect to be fully accredited soon,” Mr. Johnson said.
He assured the delegation that the monotechnic is already making global impact in the tourism and hospitality industry – thanks to the high quality of its products and series of partnership agreements with reputable local and international stakeholders.
The IITH Rector disclosed that the Institute also runs commercial services, including catering and production of branded wears.
He announced that 2017 admission process is ongoing, advising interested candidates to visit the Institute’s website iithonline.org.ng for more details.
He lauded Governor Seriake Dickson for establishing the Institute in 2012, noting that it is well poised to significantly contribute towards diversifying the economy of the state and increase the revenue profile beyond oil and gas resources.
Responding, Leader of the delegation, Mr. Ono Akpe, Head, Media and Events (Abuja) to Governor Dickson, said they were excited over the quality of programmes and the facilities on ground at IITH.
