Thunderstorm
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Saturday, July 15, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: There are chances of cloudy morning over this region except Southern Borno, Dutse, Nguru and Kano where there are chances of thunderstorms. However, later in the day, thunderstorms are anticipated over Maiduguri, Sokoto, Gusau, Yelwa, Katsina and Dutse. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 36℃and 18 – 21℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy morning is expected over this region except over Bauchi, Gombe, Yola, Bida, Minna, Abuja and Jalingo where there are prospects of localised thunderstorms. Also, there are prospects of thunderstorms over Abuja, Minna, Lafia, Jos, Bauchi, Kaduna, Ilorin, Yola and Mambilla Plateau later in the day. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 28 – 33℃and 17 – 22℃respectively, except over Jos where 23℃and 16℃day and night temperatures are expected.
SOUTHERN STATES: There are chances of rains in the morning to affect Enugu, Calabar and their environs. In the afternoon/evening hours, the inland cities of the region will likely have thunderstorms while Calabar, and Ijebu-Ode have prospects of rains. The day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 26 – 32℃and 20 – 24℃.
