The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Thursday 22, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected with chances of localised thunderstorms over Maiduguri and Damaturu during the morning hours. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over the region especially places like Maiduguri, Potiskum, Gombe and Bauchi during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 34℃and 21 – 24℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated over the region with chances of localised thunderstorms around Ilorin axis. Later in the day localised thunderstorms are expected in places such as Yola, Abuja, Lafia, Makurdi, Mambilla Plateau and Jos during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 32℃and 17 – 23℃respectively.

SOUTHERN STATES: In the morning hours, cloudy conditions are expected over the inland of the region with chances of localised rain showers over the coast in particular over places such as Lagos, Yenagoa, Port Harcourt and Calabar. There are chances of localised thunderstorms over places such as Enugu, Abakalilki, Umuahia, Owerri, Benin, Yenagoa, Port Harcourt, Lagos, Ijebu Ode and Calabar during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 32℃and 22 – 23℃respectively.
