Thunderstorm
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Sunday June 18, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated in the morning except for Maiduguri and Yola which have prospect of isolated thunderstorm. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over Kano, Katsina, Gusau, Sokoto, Potiskum, Nguru, Maiduguri and Dutse in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32 – 39℃and 20 – 25℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over the region in the morning hours. Isolated thunderstorms are anticipated over Abuja, Makurdi, Jos, Lafia, Kaduna, Lokoja, Bauchi and Gombe in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 33℃and 20 – 24℃respectively.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning is expected with the prospect of localised rains over Port Harcourt, Yenagoa, Ijebu-Ode and Lagos. As the day progresses isolated thunderstorm are expected over Akure, Osogbo, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Owerri, Calabar, Warri and Awka. Day and night temperatures are expected to be within the range of 30 – 33℃and 21 – 24℃respectively.
