The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today,Thursday, June 15, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are expected over most parts of this region with chances of localised thunderstorms over Kebbi and Yelwa axis in the morning hours. In the afternoon, partly cloudy conditions will persist with prospects of thunderstorms over Nguru, Dutse, Kano, Potiskum and Damaturu. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32 – 36℃and 23 – 28℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy morning is anticipated over this region with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Abuja and its environs. Localised thunderstorms are expected over Abuja, Minna, Lokoja, Lafia, Jos and Bauchi in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 34℃and 21 – 27℃respectively, except over Jos where 25oC and 18℃day and night temperatures are expected.
SOUTHERN STATES: Increased cloudiness is expected over the inland cities with chances of localised rains over places such as Lagos, Ijebu Ode, Port Harcourt and Calabar in the morning hours. Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms are anticipated over Ado Ekiti, Akure, Ibadan, Enugu, Awka, Obudu, Ogoja, Calabar, Port Harcourt, Yenogoa and Eket in the afternoon/evening hours. The day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 29 – 31℃and 21 – 24℃.
