Thunderstorm
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, June 14, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy to partly cloudy conditions are expected over this region in the morning hours. Later into the day, prospects of localised thunderstorms are likely especially over Maiduguri, Gombe, Yola, Kaduna and Dutse. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 35℃and 22 – 27℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: In the morning hours, chances of thunderstorms are expected over Abuja, Jos, Lafia and Makurdi while the remaining parts of this region are expected to be in cloudy conditions. Later in the day localised thunderstorms are anticipated over Minna, Bida, Ilorin, Lokoja and Mabila Plataeu. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 35℃and 20 – 27℃respectively except Jos at 28/18℃.
SOUTHERN STATES: In the morning hours, inland of the south are expected to be in cloudy conditions. There are high chances of localised thunderstorms over the inland in the afternoon/evening hours. The coastal parts of this region are expected to experience rain showers in the next 24 hours region. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 28 – 32℃and 21 – 25℃.
