Thunderstorm
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today,Sunday, May 28, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are expected over this region throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 40℃and 23 – 29℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are anticipated in the morning hours with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Abuja, Jos, Lafia and Makurdi in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 39℃and 22 – 25℃respectively, except over Jos where 30℃and 19℃day and night temperatures are expected.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected to prevail over the region with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Calabar and Port Harcourt during the morning hours. There are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Akure, Ado-Ekiti, Ijebu-Ode, Oshogbo, Benin, Enugu, Owerri, Asaba, Awka, Obudu, Ikom, Abakaliki, Aba, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Warri, Calabar, Eket and Yenagoa during the afternoon/ evening hours. The day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 31 – 32℃and 22 – 24℃.
