The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today,Thursday25, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy to partly cloudy conditions are expected over this region throughout the forecast period except over Southern Borno, Bauchi and Gombe, Kebbi, Gusau axis where there are prospects of localised thunderstorms in the afternoon/evening. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 35 – 42℃and 24 – 29℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy morning is expected over this region except over Yola and Mambilla Plateau, the western part of the central state like Abuja, Minna, Lokoja where there are chances of localised thunderstorms in the morning. Later in the day, Jos, Kaduna, Mambilla plateau, Ibi have prospects of localised thunderstorms. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 35℃and 21 – 24℃respectively, except over Jos where 30 – and 19℃day and night temperatures are expected.

SOUTHERN STATES: There are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over parts of the inland cities of the south in the morning and Calabar and Uyo, Port Harcourt where there are prospects of localised showers. There are chances of localised thunderstorms over Enugu, Abakaliki, Owerri, Awka, Benin, Akure, Ado-Ekiti, Oshogbo, Ijebu-Ode, Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abeokuta in the afternoon/evening hours. The day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 30 – 34℃and 20 – 25℃.
